BRANCH OFFICES CANNOT BE DISSOLVED BY ADMINISTRA-TIVE ORDER
In an interpretation dated 1 March 2001, the MOEA reiterated that a branch office of a com-pany is a divisional organization under the company's control, and as such is not an inde-pendent juristic person. The provision of Article 10 of the Company Law regarding dissolution by administrative order refer to an order by the regulatory authority to revoke a company's legal status; therefore, the provisions do not apply to branch offices.
