According to an interpretation issued by the Ministry of Finance on 8 July 2003, in the case of investment-type products a levy for the insurance stabilization fund is payable on that part of the premium corresponding to the insurance cover provided under the policy, but not on the part used for investment, because the risk of invest-ment losses is borne by the policy holder.
