CABLE TELEVISION LAW AMENDMENT
The draft Cable Television Law was passed on 15 January 1999, with title changed into "Cable Broadcasting and Television Law." Among key contents, the Law permits newspapers to engage in the cross-media operation of cable television enterprises. It also permits foreign investment and operation of cable television systems, as well as cross-industry investment into the telecommunications industry by cable television operators.
