CALCULATION OF NOTICE PE-RIOD FOR BOARD MEETINGS
The Company Act provides that when a board meeting is called, the directors and supervisors should be individually notified seven days in advance, stating the matters to be addressed at the meeting. In an interpretation regarding the meaning of "seven days in advance," the Minis-try of Economic Affairs indicated that such no-tification should be subject to the provision of the Civil Code that the first day of a period fixed by days, weeks, months, or years should not be included in the calculation of the period. Therefore seven full days must elapse from the day following the day of notification until the day preceding the board meeting.
