GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT ACT AMENDED
On 8 June 2007, the Legislative Yuan enacted an amendment to Article 85-1 of the Government Procurement Act. The amended article provides that if a procurement complaints review board puts forward a mediation proposal or mediation plan for a construction contract dispute, but the mediation fails because the procuring agency rejects the proposal or plan, then the agency may not refuse to attend the arbitration to which the supplier refers the dispute.
