The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) per its letter dated 20 November 1999 announced that starting from that date, the maximum amount allowed to be invested by a qualified foreign institutional investor in Taiwan securities market was increased from US$600,000,000 to US$ 1,200,000,000.
