PENSION FUND OPERATIONS MAY BE OPENED TO PRIVATE SECTOR
The CLA announced on 5 June 2000 that in ad-dition to worker pension funds being placed with the Central Trust of China, to improve their op-erating performance the law may be changed in future to allow them to be placed by competitive tender with private financial institutions such as securities investment trust companies, securities investment consulting companies, banks and trusts.
