DIRECTORS' AND SUPERVI-SORS' CONSENT LETTER RE-QUIRED FOR REGISTRATION
In an announcement dated 14 December 2000 and a supplementary announcement dated 8 January 2001, the MOEA announced that where a company limited by shares applies to register the appointment of new directors or supervisors, including the nomination of a new representative by a corporate shareholder, it must submit indi-vidual consent letter to serve, signed personally by each new director or supervisor, and in the case of the chairman of the board of directors, an additional consent letter to serve as chairman. Where a corporate shareholder holds the position of director or supervisor, such statements must be signed by its representative both in the cor-poration's and his own name. The above an-nouncements regarding company registration practice are effective from 1 January 2001.
