Recent news at Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law has prompted us to share our excitement and joy with you. We are very proud to announce that Dr. C.V. Chen, Managing Partner of this firm, is recently decorated with the Order of Brilliant Star with Grand Cordon from the R.O.C. President.

For decades of ceaseless and selfless charity work both at home and abroad and invaluable contributions to the country and society, Dr. Chen received the Order from R.O.C. President Ma Ying-jeou on 8 November 2012. Dr. Chen, as former Secretary General and President of the Red Cross Society of the Republic of China, dedicated himself to humanitarian relief operations, care for the underprivileged, and promotion of volunteerism. His efforts ,among others, in the rescue, rehabilitation, and reconstruction in the wake of the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, the 2004 South Asian tsunami, and the 1999 921 Taiwan earthquake are proof that compassion recognizes no national boundary. Dr. Chen is also the driving force behind the pro bono work that Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law is renowned for. He has said his parallel commitments to the improvement of the mainland China-Taiwan relations, the Red Cross’s humanitarian missions, and legal education could not have been possible without the support of his Lee and Li colleagues.
