Dear friends and clients:

On December 9, 2008, the Legislative Yuan passed an amendment bill of the Banking Act, amending 24 articles thereof.  The amended Banking Act were promulgated by the President on December 30, 2008 and became effective on January 1, 2009.  We hereby attach a copy of our alert sheet summarizing the amended provisions of the Banking Act.
